Swapping out graphics

• Already have the tool but want different graphics?
  • You may use any of the web banners we have available on our site. We ask that you find your api key (located in your "widget code") and replace the one we offer under each of the web banners with your own api key code. You'll notice the Embed code under each of the web banners. Within the code we offer, locate api_key="fXIOB3JfhstYtF0vXFIk31fgEOA" and replace it with YOUR api_key. Then paste the revised code onto your site. (you'll need to go through your code to find it) That way you can continue to use and track your own voter registration numbers.
  • Here is a step by step guide in doing this:
    • Step 1 - login to your voter registration tool
    • Step 2 - click on widget code link
    • Step 3 - select the code and copy it to your clipboard
    • Step 4 - using an html editor (such as dreamweaver or notepad) or your websites content management system, paste your html code
    • Step 5 - remove all of the code with the exception of the code following "api_key=" right up until the first "&"
    • Step 6 - locate the Rock the Vote web banner you'd like to use
    • Step 7 - select and copy the Embed Code (located next to or below the graphic)
    • Step 8 - paste the code into your working document (where you have your api_key # saved)
    • Step 9 - find and replace "fXIOB3JfhstYtF0vXFIk31fgEOA" with the api key # you extracted out of your tool
    • Step 10 - put the code back into your web page and test to make sure it works
