Melissa Wyatt is Rock the Vote’s Policy Associate, where she contributes to policy work surrounding voting rights and election administration. Melissa leads the research and development of reports on youth voting, and supports the ongoing development of Rock the Vote’s civic participation and technology programs.
Prior to her role as Policy Associate, Melissa served as a Policy Fellow for Rock the Vote. Before joining Rock the Vote, she gained experience in both the private and nonprofit sectors. Melissa previously worked for a nonprofit in Lima, Perú to advance women’s rights and address gender inequality issues, and has experience in state-level lobbying. Melissa also headed several initiatives to increase her campus’ environmental sustainability as an undergraduate.
Melissa has roots in both Cleveland, Ohio and St. Petersburg, Florida, and she graduated from the University of Miami with a B.A. in Political Science and Art History. She is passionate about the power of civic engagement and the importance of voting rights, and looks forward to making a difference with Rock the Vote.
