Nils Jepson is a rising senior at the University of California, Berkeley pursuing a BA in English and a BS in Global Environmental Politics with a minor in City and Regional Planning. He’s particularly interested in examining how the messages and discourses of grassroots movements can be better communicated to the public, and hopes to apply this knowledge while working at Rock the Vote.
While at Berkeley, Nils has dedicated himself wholly to civic engagement and communications. He has served as both the Local Affairs Director and the Vote Coalition Director in the External Affairs Vice President’s Office, registering over 7,700 students to vote through on-the-ground engagement, digital outreach, and a Votechella concert featuring the musical artist D.R.A.M. He currently serves as an arts reporter for the Daily Californian and spearheads the blog for the on-campus Student Environmental Resource Center.
