Make Sure Your Vote Gets Counted

Did you vote with an absentee or provisional ballot? If so, we can help you follow up before the deadline noted for your state below & make sure your vote gets counted.

Please provide your information so we can follow up with you about tracking your ballot.

What’s Up With Your State?

Some states allow voters a chance to fix, or “cure” their absentee or provisional ballots if they have outstanding issues, such as missing signatures. This is done to help avoid discarding these ballots.

If your state is listed below and you were notified of an issue with your ballot, check to see how you can follow up and make sure your vote is counted!

Georgia

Georgia allows voters to track their absentee ballots. You can look up your ballot’s status by using the state tool.

If you voted by absentee ballot and your ballot either wasn’t accepted or might not be accepted and you have been notified that you need to do something, you have until Friday, December 09, 2022 to resolve the issue. Here’s what you need to know:

  • You should be contacted by the registrars for your county if there is an issue with your absentee ballot. To be safe, you should use the Secretary of State’s “My Voter Page” (https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/ ) to check on the status of your ballot.
  • You will have three days after the election to correct any issues.
  • You will have to submit an affidavit stating that you submitted the ballot, that it was your ballot, and that you are registered and generally qualified to vote in that election.
  • You will also have to provide an approved form of identification.

Georgia does not allow voters to track their provisional ballots. If you have questions about the status of your provisional ballot, contact your local election official for more information.

If you voted by provisional ballot in person on Election Day, the deadline to provide any identification that was needed or to resolve any issue that could cause your ballot to be rejected is December 09, 2022.

You may have voted a provisional ballot for a number of reasons.

  • If you were registered to vote in your county but voted in the wrong place, you can either vote a provisional ballot or go to the correct precinct. You can only cast a provisional ballot if it is after 5:00pm and before the close of polls.
  • If you are registered in the county but told you were registered in a different county, you must provide proof of your registration within 3 days of the election.
  • If you did not provide valid photo ID while registering or at the polling place, you must provide a copy of your id to your County Registrar’s office within 3 days of the election. If you have time to return with proper ID before the close of polls, you do not need to vote provisionally.
